Ahh, i'm neglecting this blog!
Here's what hath happened since my demise:
I disbanded from Jackie and Emma.
I picked up a new crush and dropped him again.
I went to a bat mitzvah and started a new story.
I have discovered an old enemy hates me. STILL.
Aaaand I have also discovered Emma hates me.
And that Jackie hates Emma.
AND MY LIFE IS INSANELY COMPLICATED.
At least puppies help. Yes. Puppies help my complicated world. I love puppies.

It's been positively FOREVER since I posted last, but since I did, school hath begun! It's pretty normal, as far as the first couple weeks of school can be, but all of my teachers are nice except my Health teacher. Who I want to strangle. He says that if "you don't have personal technology, you don't have a choice" and talks about eating a healthy diet while rubbing his own potbelly.
Emma has a crush on the most popular boy at school now, who she doesn't have any chance with, ever. Macey* (old friend from 3rd grade, her new fake name) has a crush on three different people. Her neighbor, her boyfriend, and a new kid who I also kinda think is cute.
I finished three islands on Poptropica for the first time. I finished a couple for the second/third time. I still have Social Studies homework to do. Eh. I'll get back ;)

The next day after I admit to my crush on John... comes along Ben*.
Sigh.
We're having an end-of-summer party today, and Jackie and *I'm losing track of my fake names...* my other friend are coming with their family. It's going to be fun. I'm all jazzled up for the occasion xD With sparkles, of course.
Emma hasn't posted on her blog in WEEKS. I've got to remind her of the COMMITMENT!
Idk.
Have a nice day.

Today I hung with the sporty-popular boys (and one girl...). We fought over a volleyball, but before that (and that was the best part) we were playing this catch-volleyball-four square hybrid that was super fun. I played that with the girl (Madelyn*) and another boy who I kinda have a crush on (don't freak out, Emma and Jackie, I just realized it today), John*. Then 3 other boys came in and we played some intense colleysquare (xD). Then John had to leave, and everything went downhill from there.
See ya tomorrow!

LISTS!
Ok, this just came to me and I have to have to HAVE TO write it down xD
These are lists of my favorite things, media-wise.
Movies:
1. "Megamind"
It's a kids' movie. So what? I freaking love it
2. "Titanic"
I'm a romantic.
3. "Legally Blonde"
Proud to be blonde :)
4. "Katy Perry: Part Of Me"
I must make my anti-Katy Perry mother see this movie and convince her that Katy Perry DOES have brains and real talent.
5. "Ice Age 3"
Once again, a kids' movie, but this one is HILARIOUS.
Books:
1. "Divergent" by Veronica Roth
If you like the Hunger Games, Uglies, Matched, and all of those other dystopian books you'll love this one, but it's unique because there a) is no love triangle and b) the MC is against the rebellion.
2. "House of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer
This one involves some thinking, and even though it was a required read in my case, it's a great book. Also futuristic-dystopian-ish, but not in the same way that the aforementioned books are.
3. "Uglies" by Scott Westerfeld
Stereotypically dystopian, but still a great read. Also involves some thinking, but not as deep as #2.
4. "Art Geeks and Prom Queens" by Alyson Noel
Realistic fiction, but I still adore it :) I haven't quite finished it yet, but it's really good so far.
5. "The Red Pyramid" by Rick Riordan
I absolutely LOVE these books. They're humorous, but not too humorous on the backdrop of the possible end of the world. Fans of Egyptian mythology will eat it up. In my opinion, Riordan's best work.
If this list were to go on, it would include Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, etc but they're not my ABSOLUTE favorites like these 5.
Songs
1. "Want U Back" by Cher Lloyd
I absolutely love the attitude of this song, so upbeat and energetic!
2. "I'm Just A Girl" by No Doubt
On the annual road trip, I listened to this song over...and over...and over again.
3. "Fearless" by Taylor Swift
There's just something about this song!
4. "Fireflies" by Owl City
I love the tune, feel, and lyricism of this song. This one's another uplifting one.
5. "E.T." by Katy Perry
Have you ever read the "I Am Number Four" books? Well, this is what I'd imagine Sarah singing to John.

It's my puppy's birthday today! Happy birthday Penny Rose <3 <3
We went on a bike ride, other than that I didn't do much except for play on Poptropica xD
Wish Penny a happy birthday!

I'm weird today.

So, you know how I mentioned I love to sing? Well, if I didn't I'm stupid. These are my top 5 best songs:
1. "Skye Boat Song" *does anyone know who this is by?*
Ok, I know the song is a strong statement of...well I forgot, but know that I'm not religious or anything like that. I sing this in the key of D Major.
2. "A-Team" by Ed Sheeran
I only know the first and second verses (and the chorus, duh) but this is definitely one of my best songs. I would post the recording I made of me singing it, but I don't know how to. Does anyone else have Magix Music Maker 16 and happen to know how to post songs on blogs? This is also in D Major (well, at least my version. The actual thing is in A Major).
3. "Hey Soul Sister" by Train
Once again, I only know limited proportions of this song but believe I sing it well. E Major.
4. "Butterfly" by ME!
I wrote this song, therefore I know all of it. If I get enough comments, I'll post it here. In G Major.
5. "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles
I know all of this song! XD It fits into my range almost perfectly, except I can go higher. F Major.
I'm not very good with minor keys, if you guessed.
Ciao!

Today we went to a beach, but I "forgot" my swimsuit.
I was buddies with Cassidy* Sarrah*, and Brita*. They're all very...interesting people, and I honestly would have rather been with the popular girls, it's not that they wouldn't let me in... but...
Most of the day I spent doing my summer reading assignment number one, "House of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer. It's actually a very good book. Anyway, we have to take notes on the plot, characters/character traits, salient words, and any new vocabulary. It's really quite fun, even to take notes,  and as of my Perfect Student Resolution** of ninth grade, I'd do it even if it wasn't.
Peace Love Puppies!

**I have resolved to be a perfect, studious, straight-A-and-all-that-jazz student for ninth grade. For tenth grade, it'll probably be the same.

As you guys have probably guessed, the only reason I'm not posting is because NOTHING IS HAPPENING! It's boring summer day after boring summer day, and I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually cannot wait for school to start.
At least I have Emma's birthday party to look forward to. I can't post what I got her for a present here because she reads my blog XD
Well, I guess my old friend Allie* is back from visiting her dad in Florida. But she's popular and hangs out with her popular friends and I barely get to say anything to her. Grrr.
I am now the official Poptropica Expert of the summer camp thingie I'm going to. I know it's veeeeery embarrassing, but once again IT'S FREAKING FUN. You guys should try :P
Well, Imma go play Poptropica now. Byeee!

Yeah, so I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. It's just that my parents don't quite know I have this blog...
So, yeah.
Nothing much has happened while I was gone, but tomorrow I have a softball tournament and we're going to Yellowstone to go camping.

Bonjour.
*HIYA FOIS NEUF DIX*
Today we had another class, and it was boring, except this girl, April* who goes to the local school for arts, is a really bad whisperer. So, naturally, during the firefighter presentation, she had to loudly whisper to me, "I have 16 fire alarms and 20 carbon monoxide detectors!"
Yah. Me and a girl I'd consider a friend from the class, Hannah*, were whispering about April's whispering. We're such hypocrites (except we can actually whisper).
Then again, when I asked April what her art was at the school for arts, she said "Theater and dance. But I also do singing." Emma doesn't whisper because "it strains her vocal chords" *eye roll*, so maybe April is doing the same thing. It's a possibility, I guess.
Are there any other teenagers who play Poptropica? Didn't think so. But I still like it. Mostly for the storyboards, I guess. Each "island" has a storyline to it, right now I'm writing a story based on the Mystery Train island.
That was random. Then again, I am very random.

*This is for yesterday*
Today, we went shopping! I got 1 shirt, 1 tank, and 2 pairs of flip-flops. It was realllllly fun. Then we went to a restaurant with my two step-aunts. It was also fun.
*And now for today*
My Red Cross training class started today (yes, I am the oldest one taking the class). It was 9-12, and I really appreciated the sleeping-in part of it. I got to sleep until 8!!!!!! For me, that's late.
Fyi, my posts will get considerably shorter now that I've explained everything.

So, I know I've already posted today, but I need to post again, because so much happened at Julia's.
So, after I left Emma's, I went to Julia's house. First we went to the city pool for a couple hours. Then we went back to her house. Her sister kept bugging us, though, she wouldn't leave us alone.
First we went to Julia's friend Carli*'s house, turns out she's the sister of an annoying boy in my grade. We swung around on their rope swing, then went inside the house and watched Carli play Sims. It wasted a lot of our time. Then we walked back to Julia's house. She made macaroni and cheese while I stole her iPod and played Fruit Ninja.
The mac and cheese was good.
Aaaaand then we went downstairs and dug out all of her old American Girl dolls and played high school drama with them. 4 of the dolls got pregnant. Then, sadly, I had to go.
At home I watched Night at the Museum 2 and wrote this post.
Until tomorrow.

Hey again! I'm at Emma's house. Last night was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We got all fancy and we're all SO PRETTY!! Last night I think we were all A's on the pretty scale. Yay! Then we went to see the Katy Perry movie and I lost a tooth. Blame it on the Milk Duds.
Emma's sister Sidney* also lost a tooth. Haha.
Friday the 13th and it was our most fun night yet!
Emma's Writing
I have on thing to say and one thing only GO ON MY BLOG!!!!!!!!!!!!  tweenagerswelcome.blogspot.com
Ok, it's back to me now
It was amazing till I got all dramatic when they were straightening my hair (an impossible task). Then Jackie missed the people and such from her Les Mis rehearsal. I feel like such a bad friend for not being good with that kind of stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then we hip-bumped in front of the mirror when we were pretty (aka when our makeup and hair were still done) and it all felt better. Well, at least I wish that was what happened. Then we asked the candy hearts about our love lives.
Have I mentioned both of my friends have found their soulmates?
Well, in Emma's case, it's a boy at our school. In Jackie's case, it's a boy from the Les Mis camp.
For me, it's an imaginary guy that I hope exists. *If you're out there, please say something*

My step-aunt Kathy is in town today for my dad's birthday. But I have to leave right after his celebration, because of my sleepover with Emma* and Jackie*! We're doing nails and seeing the Katy Perry movie! I love Katy Perry.
Have I seriously gone this far without mentioning Emma and Jackie? Well, they're my two best friends in the entire world. (Except for Julia* and Maddie*, but both of those are different and long stories. I'll get to them later.)
Emma also has a blog on here, tweenagerswelcome.blogspot.com. I'm pretty sure you'll get to know her well on her own blog, but I'll introduce her here as well.
She, much like me, loves to sing, except she is better at it than I am. She's best at a pop style.
(My brother is singing from his "Mammals of the U.S." encyclopedia. WTF)
Anyway, she has a very defined style, she only wears dresses or a yoga pants+tie-dye T-shirt+Aeropostale sweatshirt combo. Even in freaking summer. She is the only one of us that cares to wear makeup on a daily basis (well, maybe I want to but my STUPID step-mom won't let me). She doesn't care for reading (once again, the only one of us) and is pretty self-centered. The best thing about her is her randomness, likableness, and ability to relate to pretty much anything. The worst thing about her is her inability to have an actual conversation (over text or chat, in person she's fine).
I actually don't know if Jackie has a blog on here. I'll make a point to ask her that.
She also loves to sing, and I don't know if she's better than I am or not because she's never sang for me. She insists that I'm better, but there's no way to prove it until I've heard her. She says she's best at a Broadway style, and I believe her.
She also has a defined style, always an Aeropostale tee+black leggings. She only wears tasty lip stuff, as far as I know. She loves reading (but likes "Hunger Games" better than "Divergent". Grrr). She, the polar opposite of Emma, is very negative about herself. She has a dream to be on Broadway one day, specifically Elphaba in the production "Wicked" and Eponine in "Les Miserables". She's actually doing a Les Mis theater camp presently, the production is today. Of course she wouldn't tell me where it is. She has scales for everything. One for how wrong-minded you are (Emma is 60-40, I am 65-35), how good your singing is (Emma is A-, I am B+), and how pretty you are (Emma is B-, I am A-).The best thing about her is her funniness and her always-return-texts policy. The worst thing about her is that she doesn't want to sing for me and Emma.
I did promise I'd tell you about Maddie and Julia.
I've known Maddie since third grade. She was in our little group for a little while, but then she stopped editing the Google docs (which are me, Emma, and Jackie's means of communication). So then she and the rest of them got kicked out, and now it's technically just me, Emma, and Jackie. Maddie's still one of my good friends, I'm going to her place tomorrow after Emma's sleepover.
She loves the earth, and even though her mom owns a small art deco store, she's not crafty. She gets along well with everyone and has a very distinct style, like her mom, she's very art deco in that way. She gets all of her clothes from Anthropologie, Target, and H&M. She ranks a B- on Jackie's singing scale. She has a dog named Lucy and two parakeets, Daffodil and Hydrangea.
I've known Julia since we lived somewhere other than we are now. In other words, since I was 6 months old. We just visited Julia and her family (we both moved, so she lives...once again, somewhere else) last month, for the first time since I was in fourth grade. She is the tomboy of the grade, she loves Minecraft (especially Creepers). She's hilarious, and beautiful, even though she won't suggest it. Ever heard of Dani Cimorelli? Julia looks EXACTLY like her. It's quite creepy.
Well, until tomorrow. Wait, maybe not tomorrow, at least until Sunday.

Hello again.
Today at the summer camp thingie we went to a reptile zoo and a waterpark. The reptile zoo was pretty boring, but me and my new friend Allie* provoked a snake and pet a crocodile.
The waterpark was more exciting. This time, we were in a "buddy" group of 5, me, Gabriella, Allie, Violet*, and Cassidy*. We "played" an idiotic game where I somehow wound up as the mother, Violet and Cassidy were my children, Allie was my sister, and Gabriella was my cat/OSS agent.
It was fun. We all got injured at some point, but I have to say Violet suffered the most. In the game, everyone hated her and vice versa.
After we went back it was pretty much the same as yesterday, more cards.
In case you all were wondering, this is going to be, pretty much, my diary. I don't feel a need to...
A. Censor myself
B. Cut out any of my thoughts, no matter how hurtful they might be.
So don't be expecting this to be a ride through UnicornLand (once again, unicorn-lovers and unicorns are not  welcome in Annika).

Today...
I went to this day care thingie for people in middle school (ninth grade is still middle school in my district). It's called...why should I tell you???
Anyway. So we went to a global market and I bought my dad a birthday present, a little handmade basket from a Guatemalan trinket shop.
They still make us have "buddies", and I was with my friend (Gabriella*) and another girl (Katrina*) who wouldn't stop talking. She rambled on and on about bees (WTF), Italian ice, and much more that all amounted to torture. Aaaaalmost as bad as catching (for softball). Almost.
So, me and Gabriella just texted behind Katrina's back. I feel kind of bad for Katrina, but it was better than sitting through that torture.
I guess you folks are still getting to know me. So, yes, I can be mean. Don't judge.
After the field trip we went back to the home building and I played Knives (Spoons, but with plastic knives) with a lot of people, Gabriella included.
*Names have been changed to protect the identity of people aforementioned.
Welcome to my world.
Here, everyone is welcome.
Unless you like unicorns.
I am your pretty much average teen. So, don't expect anything special unless special is normal to you. Then expect away!
